Business websites
Does a small business in Qatar need a website?

You need a site when it makes a customer task easier. Start there, rather than buying a large website because every business is supposed to have one.
Look at what customers ask repeatedly
If customers keep asking what you do, where you work or how to request a price, a few clear pages can save time. A retailer may need product selection and payment instead. Write down the five questions you answer most often and the action that follows each. That tells you what the first version needs. Measure whether people reach the right next step, not whether the site looks larger than a competitor’s.
Start with the customer task
A service business may need qualified enquiries, while a retailer may need product comparison and checkout. List the information people repeatedly request and put the most important answers where a first-time visitor can find them.
Choose a manageable first version
A clear introduction, useful service pages and a working contact route can be enough for an initial site. Do not buy an online store if your process actually requires individual quotations rather than immediate purchases.
Give the site an owner
Assign someone to update availability, contact details and content. Review whether enquiries reach the right person. A site that answers yesterday’s questions with outdated information is less useful than a smaller maintained one.
Start with a recurring customer question
Look for the information you explain repeatedly: service scope, examples, prices where appropriate or how to get started. A small site can organise those answers and provide a clear enquiry route. Measure whether it helps actual customers rather than assuming more pages automatically make the business more credible.
