Should a Qatar business choose a .qa or .com domain?
Choose a name that fits the brand and intended audience, then check the conditions of that exact extension. The suffix alone does not create a business or a ranking.
Decide the primary address before launch
If Qatar is central to the brand, a local domain may be relevant; if you serve several markets, compare the wider naming plan too. CRA’s guidance distinguishes extensions and registration arrangements, so do not transfer one extension’s requirements to another. Check availability, the registered contact and renewal ownership. If you buy alternatives, choose one primary address and plan redirects instead of publishing duplicate sites with competing identities.
